An evening of Celtic performances featuring:
the Delta Police Pipe Band - world renowned for their crowd pleasing musical presentations, they are ambassadors for the Delta Police Department and the Municipality of Delta. They have performed at numerous National and International events including Edinburgh, Windsor, and Basel, and have appeared with Sir Paul McCartney performing the famous Mull of Kintyre.
the O'Brien Irish Dancers - For over 20 years, the O’Brien School of Irish Dance has been training girls aged 4 years to adult from beginner to championship level in Victoria, Duncan and Ladner. Performing both competitively and recreationally throughout the year, girls dance at competitions and special events and bring their stage-show to the Gala event.
the Delta Community Choir - Established in 1984, the Delta Community Choir is 90+ members strong and truly a reflection of its community, as it is made up of local individuals who share a passion for music and enjoy coming together to sing. They perform and delight crowds throughout the year at many community events including Remembrance Day ceremonies, Christmas Concerts, and Festival of Lights events to name just a few.
Turas Harp - BC's newest and exciting Celtic and World music ensemble. Comprised of some of the finest musicians in the province, it features multi-instrumentalist and current member of Winter Harp, Bruce Henczel (fiddles, percussion), Chinese wind virtuoso and member of the Delta Police Pipe Band, Zhongxi (Jonesy) Wu, the lovely Krista Gibbard on vocals, and rising harp star, Hayley Farenholtz. They perform jigs, reels, as well as music from around the world in a vibrant, and unique style.
